Public Transportation
No matter where you have to go, it is sensible to opt for public transportation when leaving the Promenade area. During the ever-expanding rush-hour period, you can save time this way, but even at night you can quickly and directly reach many other points in the city.
- The 2 Metro stations serving the area, and their underpasses will be renovated (Line M3, stops at Ferenc körút and Klinikák).
- The Rákóczi Square stop of the new Metro Line (M4) under construction is only 2 minutes away via Tram Lines #4&6, but takes only a few minutes to reach even on foot.
- The stops of Tram Lines #4&6 are located directly in front of the entrance to the Promenade. Remodeled platforms and recently added, state-of-the-art Combino Trams make public transportation quick and comfortable for elderly or wheelchair-bound people, and for mothers with baby carriages as well.
In approximately 10 minutes many key places in the city can be reached from Corvin Promenade - starting off either on foot, or using public transportation: Deák Square is 5 minutes away, Nyugati Railway Station is 10 minutes away, while even Déli Railway Station can be reached in 15 minutes.
The Promenade will be a safe place for cyclists too, and designated storage will be available at many places along the way.
