Safety, Cleanliness
Public Safety
- Since 1998, the District has experienced the growing benefit of the operation of a street level video surveillance system that covers the Corvin Promenade area as well. The 96 cameras monitoring the area 24-hours a day have caused the safety statistics to improve a lot in recent years.
- The full-time monitoring of the video feeds is done by police officers, and they can dispatch their colleagues to the scene of any potential problem within 3 minutes.
- In a unique configuration, the option will be available to link specific places to the system with the addition of motion detectors and other devices, which can signal breaking and entering, which in turn cause the cameras to automatically locate the affected area if activated by an incoming message. Along with this, people are dispatched to check the area with the aid of their colleagues monitoring the video screens.
- Within Corvin Promenade, the staff of a company formed to be responsible for public areas will supplement the cameras. Their task will also include the cleaning and maintenance of these areas.
- The residential buildings in the area will also feature supervisors, lobby staff, or video intercoms, and optional video surveillance.
Cleanliness of Public Areas
- Some of the most frequently noted problems of inner-city life today are the saturation of cars, and garbage or dog feces left in the street. Corvin Promenade will be free of all these nuisances.
- Recycling bins meeting EU regulations will be available, as well as ample garbage bins and separate containers for dog waist.
- One of the key responsibilities of the company in charge of public areas will be maintaining consistent cleanliness.
